Home Repairs You Can Do Within the Weekend

We, Filipinos, love doing home repairs, car repairs, and all sorts of repairs we can just to avoid spending too much paying for services we can actually do ourselves. As such, this article would mostly be for people who want to do some home repairs within the weekend, but don’t know where to start.

Get ready and roll up your sleeves for these five home repairs you can do by yourself during the weekends!

  1. The very popular leaky faucet.

Are you even a Filipino if you’ve never experienced having a leaky faucet?! Well, you might have experienced having a leaky faucet one way or another, but did you know that there’s an easy fix and you only need two essential materials to fix it? In some cases, you will only need a flat head screwdriver and an adjustable wrench.

  1. The leaky roofs (and I won’t mention again how #trendy leaky roofs are in Filipino households, we already know it)!

Believe it or not, fast-drying sealants may be efficient, but they are not as good in the long run as they tend to crack and get brittle easily. Sureseal can help you with that, as it is made up of polychloroprene rubber, which is a unique and very stable rubber. Its quality can be compared to epoxy and silicone, but you’ll only pay half the price of it, plus you’ll only need a construction spatula or a trowel to spread it. Superseal sets within 20 minutes depending on the temperature, the type of substrates, and the surface condition.

  1. The rubbing doors.

We know it’s annoying, but you don’t actually need a pro or materials you don’t easily find anywhere! In fact, you only need a screwdriver. Just check if your doors screws loosen up, tighten out your loose screws using a screwdriver and you’re good to go. Enjoy your brand new door!

  1. The sticking drawers.

Say no more to sticking, annoying drawers with a spray lubricant! You can start by removing the drawers, inspecting the slides, and wiping them clean Then, spray on some spray lubricant on it and let it slide (literally!).

  1. The broken chair leg.

You don’t want anyone to get injured after falling off a broken chair at your house, do you? If it’s a wooden chair, you’re in luck! You don’t have to use any glue or adhesives (if you don’t want to!). You can just use a driller to put pilot holes and trim-head screws through the chair.

We know it’s that easy! Now, breathe, relax, and roll down your sleeves. You only need the right equipment and materials to pull off these easy home repairs during the weekends. And yes, we also know it’s exhausting and annoying when you can’t find all the materials you need in one stop, so head on to the nearest AllHome in your area and get all the things you need.
